A role-playing game set in the Pokémon world
Pokemon: Revolution is a Windows game that has you trying to "catch them all".
Pokémon is a widely popular card game and television show that was created in Japan back in 1996. True to its popular nature, many video and PC games have been created using imagery and back story from the original franchise. Pokemon: Revolution is one of them.
In Pokemon: Revolution, the user plays a Pokémon trainer. Your goal is to collect Pokémon of various shapes, sizes and danger levels so you can train them for battle. Along the way, you might meet other trainers, a Pokémon master who's incredibly adept at training or even foes you need to do battle with. In addition, you can have basic conversations or receive instructions from other NPCs (non-played characters) in the game.
Pokemon: Revolution can be fun to play for a little while, but its graphics are quite basic and blocky. It's easy enough to maneuver your character, but there aren't really any features that make it stand out from other games of its kind.
Diehard fans will likely want to give Pokemon: Revolution a try.

Seems a lot like an Alpha version....
This seems nothing like a finished version, and I've only just started the game. First, Professor Oak does the general Are you a boy or a girl? This question is completely pointless as I chose girl, but both sprite choices are male. One is literally the male sprite from the Hoenn games. If starting in Kanto, and trying to leave before getting a pokemon and such, it says you have to talk to Professor Elm. This is just from starting the game. When you 'take' a starter, there's still a pokeball on the table. This next one is personal, but Red's mom stitched up an electronic device... (Pokegear). The Kanto Map is labeled as 'Sample Region'. There's still three buildings in Palett Town, but one is Professor Oak's lab, Red's house, and Daisy's house. So where is your house? If you start in Kanto, you should have a house in Kanto. There are actual trainers on Route 1, unlike the real games, take that as you will, but they're like the weak trainers you face early on. Dying before the first pokemon center took me to Route 4... Which has black edges instead of actual scenery the real game has... This isn't even the pokemon center on Route 4 before Mt. Moon either. This is a random spot after Mt. Moon, but before the 'point of no return' (until you go around).
Pros:
Feels somewhat like old school games.
Intent on using four regions, as seen in badges (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh)
Cons:
Game looks and feels unfinished from the very start
Cannot customize controls (fine for the handhelds, but this is PC)
There's a menu screen for badges, and badges displayed on Trainer Card (redundant)
Choosing to play as Girl is pointless. Makes you a Boy anyway.
No way to soft reset the game (fine again for handhelds, but this is PC) More

I thought it was great at first just like the real pokemon video game but as you play and go further, it seems like it is destructed and there are many cons in this game. So sad but I can't take this kind of downloadable pokemon game for my pc anymore! T.T More
